Our Distinctive Christian Academic ProgramWest Gate Christian Preparatory School is committed to the principle that all truth begins with God and cannot be divided into spiritual and secular. All curriculum is taught from that understanding.
Our core curriculum includes the following: English/language Arts, mathematics, reading, history/social studies, science, and more. We have chosen to use the A Beka Book curriculum for most of our classes, which provides high quality text presented from a Christian prospective. This text is complemented by foreign languages, computer skills, fine arts (band, marching, band, choral music, drama), and other electives.
Sound academics and a safe and structured environment combine to provide a friendly atmosphere for learning. Classes are taught by a variety of methods including lecture, lab, video, and creative activities. Students who may need remedial or accelerated classes are provided assistance. Our teachers are all loving and committed Christians who view teaching as a calling rather than a job. Limited class size ensures each child the time and attention they deserve.
WGCPS teachers are certified by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.
